As a job seeker, you can close your account by signing in to your Account page. 

Click the Close My Account link.

You will see a confirmation window. If you are certain that you would like to proceed, click on Close my account. Please note that this is an irreversible action and cannot be undone.

Instead of closing your account, you have the option to pause your alerts. You can also set your resume to private so that your information is not searchable on Indeed. 

If you wish to use Indeed again after closing your account, you can create a new account using the same or any other email address, however, you will not have access to any of your original information.

How to Permanently Delete an Indeed Account?

To delete your Indeed account, you can follow these steps:

Visit the Indeed website: Open a web browser and go to the Indeed website at www.indeed.com.

Sign in to your account: Click on the "Sign in" link located at the top right corner of the website. Enter your email address and password associated with your Indeed account and click "Sign in."

Access your account settings: After signing in, click on your name or profile picture in the top right corner of the website. A dropdown menu will appear. Click on "Account" or "Account settings" to access your account settings page.

Go to the "Delete My Account" section: Once you are on the account settings page, scroll down until you find the section labeled "Delete My Account." This section should provide information and options for deleting your Indeed account.

Review account deletion information: Read the information provided about deleting your account carefully. Make sure you understand the consequences of deleting your account, such as losing access to your job applications and saved jobs. Consider downloading any important information or documents from your account before proceeding.

Choose a reason for deletion: Within the "Delete My Account" section, you will typically be asked to select a reason for deleting your account from a dropdown menu. Choose the most appropriate reason that matches your situation.

Provide additional feedback (optional): Some platforms, including Indeed, may give you the option to provide additional feedback about your experience or reasons for deleting your account. This step is usually optional, and you can choose to skip it if you prefer.

Confirm the account deletion: To proceed with deleting your Indeed account, you will need to confirm your decision. This is usually done by checking a box or clicking on a confirmation button. Take a moment to double-check your decision before proceeding.
