YouTube tracks user behavior through cookies and search history , among other things. If you want to combat this phenomenon a bit, you can delete your own YouTube search history at regular intervals. How to Delete YouTube Search History?

YouTube keeps a history of the videos you search for or watch, both to make it easier for you to find them and to provide you with personalized recommendations. It is possible to delete all or part of this history as soon as you wish, or even deactivate it completely. In this quick tutorial, we show you how to do it in a few simple steps.

On Android

Pause search history

To pause your account's search history:

Select your profile picture  "".

Tap Settings  Then Manage all history .

Tap Saved YouTube History Then and deselect "Include searches you do on YouTube".

Delete specific searches

To remove specific queries from your search history when logged into your account, follow these steps:

Tap the Search icon  "".

Touch and hold one of the results with a History icon "".

Tap Delete in the pop-up that appears.

Automatically Delete YouTube Search and Watch History

You can set your search and watch history to automatically delete after a certain period of time.

On your computer, go to your Google account .

In the top left panel, click Data & Personalization .

Under 'Activity controls', click YouTube History , then Auto-Delete .

Select the period for which you want to automatically delete your activity  Then Next  Then Confirm .

Click Confirm at the bottom right of the pop-up.

Delete specific searches

Go to My Activity Then next to the search you want to delete, click "Delete"  "".

Delete search history

Go to My activity Then click on Delete activity Then select the period for which you want to delete your activity  Thenclick on "Delete" at the bottom right of the pop-up.

On iPhone and iPad

Pause search history

To pause your account's search history:

Tap Saved YouTube History Thendeselect "Include searches you perform on YouTube".

Delete specific searches

Tap the Search icon  "".

Swipe the search you want to delete to the left.

Tap Delete.

Turn off YouTube History

Do you want to prevent YouTube from evaluating and storing your data? Permanently stop the history by selecting the corresponding option. In the app you will find the item under "History and Privacy", in the browser app under the item "History".

Permanently Deactivate YouTube History

To permanently turn off YouTube history, go to "  History  " in the left sidebar and "  Activity is saved  " in the "YouTube History" menu.

Enable the blue button here to permanently disable YouTube history . You can reactivate the option at any time in the same place.

Reset YouTube Watch History . Delete it completely, partially or suspend it... the choice is yours.

To access your YouTube history, go to " Library ", then select " History ". Using the magnifying glass, find the video of your choice. If you want to delete certain videos only, click " Delete " to the right of the video concerned.
